A very special day
June 6, 1954 was a very special date. It was our first wedding anniversary and our daughter was two weeks old. That day I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska. I also received commission in the United States Air Force as a second lieutenant. In addition, I had an appointment to flight school as soon as I reported in. The crowning achievement was a job offer which I accepted from Eastman Kodak Company; at that time Kodak was the most recognized trade mark in the whole wide world.
